Grants waivers to Umahi, Dogara, all other new members
The National Executive Committee, (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) yesterday dissolved all states, zonal, and national party structures.
The partys NEC also extended the tenure of the partys Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, led by Yobe State governor Mai Mala Buni, by six months.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the committee at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, which was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and other party chiefs.
Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufai, who disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of the committees meeting, also disclosed that the party also approved the expulsion of former National Vice Chairman, South-south, Ntufam Hilliard Eta, for his failure to withdraw the court case instituted against the caretaker committee.
The APC NEC also approved waivers for those who just joined or may be planning to join the party. The waivers enable the affected persons to contest elective positions on the partys platform without waiting for a particular number of years.
Recall that Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi, recently joined the party from the Peoples Democratic Party while a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, also returned to the party from the PDP.
The party had in late November scheduled the meeting to review its position and deliberate on its next line of action as it concerns its national leadership.

Since its inauguration, the APC caretaker committee has arguably delivered on some of its mandate by dousing the fierce polarization among its members in States like Ondo and Imo.
